Accommodations

Your home away from home!

The housing committee is preparing for your arrival to campus! We're pleased to offer delegates the opportunity to stay with us in our dorms while here for the RA Conference, which is included in the registration fees. Additional options are available below for both delegates and advisors.

Delegates

You will have the chance to experience a variety of our halls as we are converting lounge spaces to your home for the weekend. Mattresses will be provided, but you will want to bring your own pillow and linens (or a sleeping bag); and your basic toiletries. Showers are in traditional residence hall bathrooms,so you will want to bring shower shoes. You will be placed with other individuals that may be from other delegations. Unless we have higher than anticipated numbers at our conference, there will be no more than six people staying in a lounge.

Advisors

For all advisors (or for delegates choosing to make your own arrangements to stay off campus during the conference) you may find the following nearby hotel information to be helpful. We do not organize off-campus housing.

Bathrooms

Our standard housing accommodation includes spaces within lounges with community bathrooms on the floor. If you need anything beyond this, please list in the delegation registration form and we will attempt to accommodate as much as we are able. A conference representative/chair will attempt to reach out to those requiring such accommodations prior to the conference.

The majority of sessions will be held within Schindler Education Center (SEC). This building offers gender neutral or single stall bathrooms. If you feel comfortable using a gendered, multi-stall restroom, please use the one that you feel most comfortable with and most closely represents your gender identity. Gender identity in regards to public accommodations (such as restrooms on our campus) is covered under the 2007 addition to the Iowa Civil Rights Act; so trans and non-binary people can make that decision for themselves based on their own identities and experiences.

All of the dorms and both Towers and Redeker Centers have an inclusive single-stall option as well. Visit our website to help navigate.
