Dining Scholarship
$$$ scholarships available to UNI Dining student employees.
UNI Dining offers two scholarship types: The Dining Service Scholarship for all Dining student employees offering $1,000 awards; and the Bill Myers Memorial Scholarship for Dining student supervisors offering up to $8,000 awards. Tiered scholarships are available, with the essays weighted heavily.
Who is eligible?
University of Northern Iowa students who are employed by UNI dining services and can relate their major to the food service industry. Any major can apply for the scholarship. Previous applicants are encouraged to apply.
How can this scholarship be used?
This scholarship is intended to be used during the traditional academic year (Fall-Spring) at the University of Northern Iowa and will applied to the student's U-bill each semester.
How can I qualify?
Students must be enrolled full time, in good standing, maintain 10 hours/week average continuous employment with UNI Dining Services, and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
Eligibility is for students who are currently employed and maintain continuous employment with UNI Dining Services. Continued employment during 2024-25 school year is required in order to receive the full scholarship amount.
When are Applications Due?
Completed application and recommendation forms must be received to the address on the application by January 15, 2024.

- One full page, double-spaced essay describing: Why you feel you are qualified for this scholarship and how your major is related to the food service industry
