Individual Guest Housing

Need a place to stay?

We provide overnight accommodations to individuals visiting the university and the Cedar Valley. Guest housing is available at all times throughout the year, on both a long-term and short-term basis. Room type is based on need and availability, which may be limited, especially during the academic year.

University Housing & Dining

Guest Housing is available to:

  • Academically affiliated UNI Guest (visiting faculty, staff, international guests, etc.)
  • Visiting college student participating in internships and workshops with Cedar Valley businesses
  • Student participating in UNI short program (less than a semester)
  • Alumni visiting the area
  • Individual doing business with the university
  • UNI faculty and staff relocating to the area and in need of transitional housing
  • Individual doing business within the Cedar Valley (available May-July only)

Below are the types of rooms we offer. Placement will be made based on availability and group size. A minimum 5 night stay is required during the academic year (August - May).

Additional Services

  • Internet Access - Use of wifi is included as part of your stay. Register your device at the UNI IT website.
  • Laundry Facilities - Guests may use the residence hall washers and dryers for no additional charge, as it is included as part of your stay. Take advantage of our Wash Alert system!
  • WRC Pass - $10 daily admission. (Paid for separately at the WRC administration offices.)
  • Parking Pass - Available for non-affiliated UNI guests during the academic year at an additional cost. Included with Shared Summer Apartment.
