Dining Scholarship

Who is eligible?

University of Northern Iowa students who are employed by UNI dining services and can relate their major to the food service industry. Any major can apply for the scholarship. Previous applicants are encouraged to apply. The Dining Service Scholarship is open to both undergraduate and graduate Dining student employees; and the Bill Myers Memorial Scholarship is open to undergraduate Dining student supervisors.

How can I qualify?

Students must be enrolled full time, in good standing, maintain 10 hours/week average continuous employment with UNI Dining Services, and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Eligibility is for students who are currently employed and maintain continuous employment with UNI Dining Services. Continued employment during 2027-28 school year is required in order to receive the full scholarship amount.

How can this scholarship be used?

This scholarship is intended to be used during the traditional academic year (Fall-Spring) at the University of Northern Iowa and will applied to the student's U-bill each semester; half in the fall and half in the spring.

When are applications due?

Completed application and recommendation forms must be received to the address on the application by January 18, 2027. A completed application consists of the dining scholarship form, two references and completion of the UNI General Scholarship form.
