Rider Hall
Welcome to Rider Hall.
Rider Hall is a traditional residence hall built in 1961 and sits on the south side of campus as part of the “Quads”. One of UNI’s traditional residence halls, it houses first-year students in both double and single rooms and is home to First-Year Experience and Honors Residential Communities. Meal plans are required for students who live in Rider Hall with easy access to Piazza dining center and Redeker Center, as it is connected by skywalk.
Residential Communities
First-Year Experience

These communities house first-year students (new to college) and help enhance entering students’ transition to UNI while creating a peer reference group, academic experience and enhancing students’ academic and social success.
Honors

This community houses first-year students (new to college) and strives to provide outstanding educational, social, and leadership opportunities outside of the classroom. Acceptance into the honors program is required.
