Welcome to Rider Hall.

Rider Hall is a traditional residence hall built in 1961 and sits on the south side of campus as part of the “Quads”. It houses a mix of both first-year and upper division students and is home to First-Year Experience and Returner Residential Communities, with a total of 8 houses. Rider is a mixed gender hall, where students primarily live in double rooms with a roommate. Meal plans are required for students who live in Rider Hall with easy access to Piazza dining center and Redeker Center, as it is connected by skywalk.

Residential Communities

First-Year Experience

springboard

These communities house first-year students (new to college) and help enhance entering students’ transition to UNI while creating a peer reference group, academic experience and enhancing students’ academic and social success.

Returner

upperclass

These communities provide an opportunity for our returning, second-year+ students to interact with other upper division students, live in a supportive environment and collaborate in their studies.
